The Bengal College of Engineering and Technology has been set
up by the SKS Educational and Social Trust in 2001 with a view
to creating a facility for imparting quality education in
Engineering and technology and maintaining a liaison with
industry in one hand and the premier engineering institution of
the region, like the IIT (Kharagpur), NIT (Durgapur) CMERI
(Durgapur) on the other.
BCET is one college which has been developing very fast since it
started and today it has got a very commendable infrastructure which
includes a well built campus with wide roads and highly facilitated
hostels for students.
