A month ago, 130 elephants were pushed back into reserved forest area near Denkanikottai, now, a group of 35 elephants having few calves among them have moved into Uthanapalli area.
The elephants have migrated back to the area and are busy in tasting farm produce, spoiling acres of crops grown.
Villagers say, the group contains 3 calves. As of now, the group has split into smaller ones, and one of the group has only 3 elephants. One elephant is roaming around as single.
Smaller the group size, more the danger to humans.
Hosurians who commute during late nights are warned to be alert during night and early morning hours, as at any time these jumbos may come into Hosur Town area.
