From Chennai he came to Hosur as thief!

Hosur kaaval arrested a man, as he indulged in chain of thefts and recovered about 300 grams of gold from him.

Siva (35) of H Chettipalli village near Kelamangkalam was waiting for bus near Cheenivasa Theater on yesterday morning at around 6 am.

By that time, a man came near him, threatened him at knife point and took away Rs 500 in cash and 2 rings weighing about 2 grams each.

Siva rushed to Hosur kaaval and lodged a complaint.  Hosur town kaaval registered a case and started their investigation.

They took details about the thief’s look and body structure and alerted their informers in Hosur bus stand area.  A tip-off reached Hosur kaaval about a man with the same set of identity given by Siva.

Police team having SI Nakaraj and Suresh took Siva to Hosur bus stand and made Siva to identify a man.  Siva identified the thief.

Police caught the thief, who tried to escape in a bus.  Further inquiry with him revealed his identity as Venkatechan (31), a native of 40th Theru of Ashok Nagar in Chennai.

Presently he lives in Singkaara Nagar in Murukkeri Kuppam near Thorappaadi in Vellore district.

He stays there and indulge in thefts.  Several pending cases were slapped on him.
