Thieves who have tried their best to break open an ATM in Mookandapalli, which belongs to South Indian Bank, has first tried their luck with an ATM located in ASTC HUDCO.
The thieves have first tried in KVB owned ATM near ASTC HUDCO entrance. They have cut the cables of the camera in the ATM when the security has gone for convenience for a while. Thinking that there is no security personnel in the ATM center, they have cut the cable, but when the security came back, the made an escape from the spot.
But, as there was no security personnel at Mookandapalli, taking their own time, the thieves have tried their best to break the machine which by that time was said to have Rs 700,000 in it.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that the money kept in the machine was safe and has been damaged heavily as the culprits have tried it to open it with strong iron rod.
