Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths have arrested a personal assistant of Tamil Nadu Animal Husbandry minister Balakrishna Reddy along with 10 others in a raid at an online brothel case functioning in the guise of a beauty salon and spa on 100 feet road in Dodda Banaswadi in Benkalooru on late Friday night.
Four women hailing from West Bengal employed at the centre were also rescued in the operation.
However, when contacted, Balakrishna Reddy claimed that Sathyanarayana was not his personal assistant but admitted that he was an AIADMK local leader of Hosur in Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu.
According to CCB sleuths, one of their men posed as a decoy customer and fixed an appointment at the centre at around 8pm on Friday.
After it was confirmed that the salon was a front for flesh trade, a waiting team of cops raided the place and arrested the customers and middlemen. The cops rounded up the customers and one among them Sathyanarayana claimed to be the personal assistant to Tamil Nadu minister Balakrishna Reddy from Hosur.
However, Balakrishna Reddy claimed that Sathyanarayana was misusing his name and that he is not his personal assistant as of now. He also added that Sathyanarayana got into some legal trouble on his own and he as a state minister has no connection with him.
Minister Balakrishna Reddy was quick to distance himself from Sathyanarayana by declaring “ Sathyanarayana might be a member of the AIADMK from Hosur but he has no connection with me and I have nothing to do with his arrest. He was not my actual personal assistant and since I am a politician some party cadres will be always with me. But I have nothing to do with their action”
Out of the 11 arrested, six were customers and the remaining five were flesh trade agents acting as middlemen to fix appointments at the brothel. Police also found the phone number of the centre on the internet.
