According to the Meteorological department, Bangalore city will see cloudy skies over today and heavy thundershowers by this day evening. Heavy spells are likely to occur in some areas that will make the flood situation in the city more worse.
Even now, parts of Sadashivnagar, Gutthalli and Ballari Road were waterlogged following the rains leading to traffic congestion around Palace Grounds, Vasanthnagar and surrounding areas.
Potlappa Garden area on Hosur Road remained flooded after Saturday’s rain. This lead to a traffic pile up in the area. Traffic movement is affected from Anepalya to Adugodi junction.
As Bangalore city is water logged and there is no immediate scope of water being drained, several parts of Bangalore will remain non motorable for atleast next two days. It is advisable for Hosurians not taking their cars or bikes to commute to Bangalore.
Today’s expected rain will again submerge Hosur road under water, making the entire stretch not motorable.
