Yesterday, one of the elephant among the group that contained four that was roaming around Kamanthotti village area, entered into Ashok Leyaland unit II in the morning.
As the elephant was found highly disturbed, workers, school children and villagers of the area were afraid. As the elephant moved near the school campus, parents requested the management to declare leave. Factory workers too used the opportunity to demand leave for them. But the management refused to declare leave and no untoward incident happened till late evening.
By late evening yesterday, the single elephant moved out of the factory campus and has gone missing.
Forest officials are in search for the pachyderm, as when it remain single, it will be highly dangerous to human lives. Hosurians and villagers of near by villagers were advised to be cautious while traveling during wee hours.
