Statues worth Rs 1.3 lacs stolen from Hosur temple


Unidentified miscreants have stolen statues of gods and goddesses and the value of statues is estimated to be Rs 1.30 lacs.

Radha Shyam Sundar koil is located near Thayappa Thottam in Bagalur Road.  Construction activity is going on in the first floor of the temple.

The temple is controlled and managed by Shenpaka Gowradass (80) who is assisted by Cheenivachan (40) and Prasanth (25).

On 2nd night, after supervising the construction activities, the three have gone asleep.  Day before yesterday (3rd) early morning they noticed that a statue of Lakchumi Narachimman worth Rs 60 thousands and statues of Krishnan and Balaraaman worth Rs 70 thousands has been stolen.

Other brass made items worth Rs 20,000 was also stolen from the temple premises.

Ilamuruku (21), vice president of the temple comity has lodged a kaaval complaint with HUDCO kaaval.
