In a press conference convened yesterday, to condemn DMDK rebels and the DMK for its alleged role in the split of DMDK, MDMK general secretary Vaiko made several unsavoury remarks against DMK president M. Karunanidhi.
Vaiko, addressing a press conference at Thayagam, the MDMK headquarters, squarely blamed DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin and his son-in-law Sabarish for instigating dissent in the DMDK.
He said that it was the “inherent nature” of Mr. Karunanidhi and Mr. Stalin to break opposition parties and recollected past incidents of rebellion in the MDMK.
While speaking about V.C. Chandhirakumar, the expelled propaganda secretary of the DMDK, who is leading the split, Vaiko said “he and Mr. Karunanidhi could rather take up the ‘oldest known trade’ which some want to be legalized.”
He meant about Brothel or Prostitution, referring them as “Oldest known trade”.
Vaiko did not stop to that. He went on accusing Karunanidhi by saying “Karunanidhi also knew playing the ‘Nadeswaram’”, which is typically vulgar if taken by second meaning.
PWF constituents, VCK and CPI (M), were quick to disapprove Vaiko’s comments.
Late in the evening, Mr Vaiko instead of asking apology came out with his ‘thannilai vizakkam’ on his comments. The vizakkam was more detailing in vulgar terms than that of an apology.
Vaiko said that, he is not referring Karunanidhi’s wives or Karunanidhi’s daughters or daughter-in-laws about “Oldest Known Trade”. He further elaborated about his “Nadeswaram” comments which was also more vulgar than a real apology.
To be noted here is that, Vaiko Naidu, Vijayakanth Naidu, Varadharajan Naidu have come together to contest the upcoming assembly election for Tamil Nadu. Karunanidhi, his son Stalin, Stalin’s son-in-law Sabarish, Vaiko, Vijayakanth, Varadharajan all are Telugu speaking migrants from Andhra living in Tamil Nadu!!!
