Avoiding a visit to Hathras or Manipur or any troubled Indian territory, Modi will be flying to Russia and from there, directly to Austria avoiding Indian soil.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to embark on foreign tours from July 8. After visiting Russia and attending the 22nd India-Russia Summit, he will also visit Austria, the External Affairs Ministry announced on Thursday 04th July 2024.
At the same time, this will be Modi s first visit to Russia after 5 years. The Prime Minister will attend the economic conference held in Vladivostok on July 8-9, in the eastern part of Russia, and then will be flying to Austria. This is the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Austria after 41 years.
The annual summit between the Prime Minister of India and the President of Russia will hold a dialogue on the strategic partnership between the two countries. So far 21 summits have been held alternately between India and Russia.
Before this, the India-Russia Summit was held on December 6, 2021 in Delhi. Russian President Vladimir Putin had come to India to attend the conference.
Travel to Austria:
Prime Minister goes to Austria from Russia. He will be in Austria on July 9 and 10.
"This will be the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Austria in 41 years. During this visit, he will hold talks with Austrian President Alexander von der Bellen and Austrian Chancellor Karl Neuhammer," the State Department said.
The Ministry of External Affairs said that the Indian Prime Minister will meet and interact with Indians in the two countries during his visit to the two countries.
