Amoeba attack alert

A brain-eating amoeba microbe is spreading in Kerala. Due to this, the amoeba is said to be reaching the brain through respiratory system while breathing in the lake and ponds and it affects the brain. Due to the infection, 3 people who were admitted to the hospital due to headache, vomiting and fainting died.

Mridul, a class 7 student from Kozhikode, 13-year-old Dakshina from Kannur and 5-year-old Fatwa from Lappuram have died in succession due to the same amoeba infection.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that 97% of 100% of people exposed to the virus will die. In this situation, the Tamil Nadu Health Department has issued a warning.

Keep swimming pools clean

Three people have died due to this disease in Kerala. The public, especially children, are advised not to bathe in turbid, polluted water conditions due to water-borne transmission of the disease.

Water bodies should be treated in such a way that they do not harm the environment. Swimming pools in public and private places should be sanitized following the guidelines issued by the Department of Public Health.

Water bodies in rural areas should be kept clean and provision should be made to prevent unauthorized entry. He has advised all government and private medical centers to immediately refer those who have symptoms of the disease to the district head hospital for treatment.
