Seth Ghasiram Gopikishan Badruka Educational Society

History

In the year 1950, Late Raja Bankatlal Badrukaji, Shri Pannalal Pitti and others mooted a proposal for establishing a Commerce College in Hindi Medium. It was decided that the Vice Chancellor of Osmania University should be contacted to progress the proposal.

Nawab Ali Yawar Bahadur, the then Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University appreciated the initiative but suggested that the college should be started in English or Hindi Medium with a endowment fund of 2.5 Lakhs to which Raja Bankatlalji readily accepted.

Thus, a beginning was made to promote quality education. The first exclusive institution for students of commerce came into existence on 2^nd August 1950 and was inaugurated by the then Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University.

Golden Jubilee

The year 2000-01 was the Golden Jubilee year for the Badruka Educational Society established on 2^nd August 1950. The Golden Jubilee Celebration began on 5th August 2001 was a colorful function. His Excellency Dr C. Rangarajan, Former Governor of Andhra Pradesh was the Chief Guest and illustrious alumni including Shri T. Devender Goud and Shri Samarismha Reddy were the Guests-of-Honour.

The Golden Jubilee Year saw a chain of activities, beginning with a massive rally of all Badruka Institutions, Seminar, Cultural Activities and the finale of the celebrations held on 30^th October 2001, where his Excellency Late Shri Krishna Kant, Former Vice President of India was the Chief Guest.  Other dignitaries who attended the function include Shri Chandrababu  Naidu , Chief  Minister  of  Andhra  Pradesh, Shri  T. Devender  Goud - Home  Minister  of Andhra  Pradesh and  Shri  Bandaru  Dattatreya - Union  Minister  of  State  for  Urban Development.
