A spotted deer that reportedly came out of the forest in search of food and water died near Kelamangalam after being chased by stray dogs.

The incident is said to have occurred near a Panchayat Union Primary School in Alahalli village, close to Denkanikottai.

According to local reports, the deer collapsed and died following the incident.

Forest officials from Denkanikottai reached the spot, recovered the body, and buried it in the forest area.

The incident has once again highlighted the increasing interaction between wildlife and human settlements in the region.
