A unique ritual was observed during the temple festival at the Draupathi Amman–Dharmaraja Swamy Temple in D. Kothapalli, near Bairamangalam, close to Hosur.

As part of the celebration, devotees receive blessings by being struck lightly on the head with a winnowing basket and broom.

According to local belief, this practice helps remove obstacles from life and has been followed for nearly 400 years.

ஓசூரை அடுத்த, பைரமங்கலம் அருகே, டி கொத்தப்பள்ளியில் அமைந்துள்ள சுமார் 400 ஆண்டுகள் பழமை வாய்ந்த திரௌபதி அம்மன் தர்மராஜ சுவாமி கோவில் தேர்த்திருவிழா, கடந்த நாள் நடைபெற்றது.

இதன் ஒரு பகுதியாக, "துடைப்பம் மற்றும் முறம்" கொண்டு நம்பிக்கையாளர்களின் தலையில் அடித்து ஆசி வழங்கும் நிகழ்ச்சி நடைபெற்றது.

இவ்வாறு அடி வாங்குவதன் மூலம், வாழ்க்கையில் ஏற்படும் இடர்பாடுகள் நீங்கும் என்பது நம்பிக்கை.
