People from different age groups, including school students and senior citizens, participated in the Neerathon awareness run held in Hosur to spread awareness about protecting the South Pennar River and its water bodies.

The programme began near the Ramanayakan Lake Children's Park with music and dance performances before Thally MLA T. Ramachandran flagged off the run. The event was organised by AISF and AIYF.
