As part of intensified efforts to prevent narcotics trafficking, Hosur Police conducted surprise inspections at parcel service hubs with the assistance of Jack, a 1½-year-old Labrador sniffer dog from Krishnagiri.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of the Hosur Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). Police said similar preventive inspections will continue in the coming days.

போதை பொருள் கடத்தல் நடவடிக்கைகளை தீவிரமாக கண்காணித்து வரும் ஓசூர் காவல் துறையினர், அதன் ஒரு பகுதியாக, கிருஷ்ணகிரியில் இருந்து ஒன்றரை வயதுடைய ஜேக் என்கிற, லாப்ரடார் வகை மோப்ப நாய் உதவியுடன், ஓசூரில் இயங்கும் பார்சல் சர்வீஸ் நிறுவனங்களில் திடீர் ஆய்வு மேற்கொண்டனர்.

இனி வரும் நாட்களில் இத்தகைய தீவிர கண்காணிப்பு நடவடிக்கைகள் தொடரும் என காவல்துறையினர் தெரிவித்தனர்.
