A public awareness run titled "Neer-Rathon" will be held in Hosur on July 12 to promote the conservation of the South Pennar River and the water bodies connected to it.

The event will begin at 6:00 AM from Ramanayakan Lake Children's Park, opposite Velankanni School. Organisers say participation certificates will be presented to everyone who takes part in the run, which aims to encourage community involvement in protecting water resources for future generations.
