A complaint went to the district administration that some candy and chocolate shops in Hosur Namelpet areas were selling chocolates packed in syringes to attract children.
After this, Hosur Food Safety Department raided the candy shops. At that time, 24 kg syringe chocolates were confiscated from some shops and samples were taken from them and sent to the food analysis laboratory for testing.
The concerned shopkeepers were issued notices as per the provisions of the Food Safety Act. Officials said that after the report, action will be taken against the shop owners.
