Hosur human life put at risk by lethargic district administation

Tamil Nadu has witnessed several human life losses due to rain water clogging in underpass bridges.  Recently, a lady doctor who has served in Hosur GH lost her life when she tried to pass through an underpass bridge in her car, which was filled with rain water.

Though, the history has tought enough to our political class and bureaucrats, Krishnagiri district administration and Hosur municipality seems to be in deep coma, not understanding the danger and refusing to act upon the previous warnings.

As the district administration of Krishnakiri has closed and blocked Thenkanikottai road near RC Church, residents of all villages upto Anchetty on Thenkanikottai road, all residents of villages located upto Thally are now forced to use a single lane Thally road, which was already congested with a frequently closing railway gate, lots of heavy loaded trucks, staff and school buses, low lying tree branches, deep potholes and others.

South Hosur, Thenkanikottai and Thally residents are forced to depend on the above single road for all, including medical emergencies to reach Hosur GH or private hospitals.

For two wheelers, there was railway station - vattaatchiyar aluvalakam road, which has an underpass bridge.

Couple of days before when it rained in Hosur, several public raised their voices and shared images of water clogging the railway underpass bridge across Railway Station Road, very near to Hosur railway station.

Few resident association office bearers met Hosur Corporation Mayor and detailed the danger to him, and there was an announcement, promising to fix additional water pumps to keep the underpass passage safe.

When it started drizzling during evening on yesterday (05.09.2023), the passage was filled with rain water, putting hardship to two wheeler riders, as nothing was done as per the promise by the Hosur Corporation.

Yesterday, when social media was flooded with images and people started shouting in it their conerns about the inaction of Hosur corporation and district administration, couple of men in kakis, came to the spot with cleaning sticks and were found roaming across the road, as they were not able to clear the water.

All these issues are blamed on the district collector by the public residing in Thenkanikottai and Thally road, as she, without considering traffic issues of Hosur, has blocked the Thenkanikottai Road near RC Church.

Several public opinion that, we Hosurians have a MLA who used to be seen during government functions, but disappears when public have major issues.

Will our Hosur politicians and bureaucrats respect human lives of Hosurians and act swiftly atleast now! is that what Hosurians are now murmuring.
