Hosur forest department received information yesterday that a 32-year-old female elephant was found dead and is in rotting state in the Panchalthunai Peet Motikan Paarai forest area under the Hosur Forest division Anchetty Forest Reserve.

Following this, the elephant was anatomically examined by forest department led by Anchetty Vanacharakar Murali and veterinarian Dr. Prakash.

It was revealed that the elephant fell down due to paralysis of its legs and could not get up and died due to cardiac arrest.

The body of the elephant was then buried in the forest.
