Farmers near Veppanapalli close to Hosur have reported that three wild elephants entered agricultural fields during the night and damaged borewell pump sets.

While elephants often enter farmlands in search of food and trample crops, farmers say the latest incident also resulted in damage to irrigation infrastructure.

The affected fields are located in a region where the borders of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka meet, an area known for frequent elephant movement.

Farmers have expressed concern over the losses and hope authorities will take steps to reduce such incidents.
