Residents of Manjunatha Layout and Shantinikethan Layout in Hosur Corporation Ward 44 have raised several civic and public-safety concerns.

Residents and the ward councillor allege that some properties have encroached on roads and that septic tanks are being constructed over Hogenakkal drinking-water pipelines.

They also claim that the Shantinikethan Layout park, intended for around 2,000 households, has not been properly developed and has become an area where wastewater accumulates. Residents are demanding a proper wastewater drainage channel.

The residents have appealed to the Hosur Corporation Commissioner to examine the issues and take appropriate action.
