Tamil Nadu has enacted a law ensuring opportunities for persons with disabilities in municipalities and local bodies.
Following this, Radha Gnanasekaran has been appointed as a councillor in Hosur Municipality.
The appointment ceremony was held at the municipal office in the presence of the Commissioner, Mayor, MLA, Deputy Mayor, committee heads, and councillors.
This marks an important step in promoting inclusivity and equal representation in governance.

மாநகராட்சி மற்றும் உள்ளாட்சி அமைப்புகளில், மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்கும் உரிய வாய்ப்பளிக்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்கிற உயரிய நோக்கில், தமிழ்நாடு சட்டப்பேரவையில் சட்டம் இயற்றப்பட்டது. இதைத் தொடர்ந்து ஓசூர் மாநகராட்சிக்கு, ராதா ஞானசேகரன், மாநகராட்சி உறுப்பினராக கடந்த நாள் பணியமர்த்தப்பட்டார். பதவி ஏற்பு நிகழ்ச்சி, ஓசூர் மாநகராட்சி அலுவலகத்தில், ஆணையாளரால் நடத்தி வைக்கப்பட்டது. இதில், மாநகர மேயர், ஓசூர் சட்டமன்ற உறுப்பினர், துணை மேயர், நலவாழ்வு குழு தலைவர், வரிவிதிப்பு குழு தலைவர், மாநகராட்சி கவுன்சிலர்கள் உள்ளிட்ட ஏராளமானவர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.
