Residents from eight villages near Kundukottai close to Denkanikottai staged a protest carrying black flags to highlight their long-standing demands.

The protest was led by local representatives including Periyasamy, Mariyappan, Annaiyya, Idumban, Govindaraj, Muruganandam, Siva, and Sivaraj.

Villagers stated that if their demands remain unresolved, they may consider boycotting elections. They also indicated that certain government-issued documents could be returned if the issues are not addressed.
