A man who was reportedly injured in a wild elephant attack near Kamantotti in the Hosur region has been admitted to a private hospital after his family said adequate treatment facilities were unavailable locally.

The incident is said to have occurred around 10:30 PM when the victim stepped outside his house and encountered a wild elephant.

Family members initially took him to the Hosur Government Headquarters Hospital and were advised to shift him to the Krishnagiri Government Medical College Hospital. Due to the urgency of the situation, he was later admitted to a private hospital on Denkanikottai Road.

The family has also said that early warning alerts about elephant movement from forest authorities could help residents remain cautious in such forest-edge areas.

உடனடியாக கூச்சலிட்டு, அவரை மீட்ட உறவினர்கள், ஓசூர் அரசு தலைமை மருத்துவமனைக்கு கொண்டு வந்துள்ளனர். அங்கிருந்தவர்கள், மருத்துவமனையில் வசதிகள் இல்லை எனவும், உடனடியாக கிருஷ்ணகிரி மருத்துவக் கல்லூரி மருத்துவமனைக்கு அழைத்துச் செல்ல அறிவுறுத்தியுள்ளனர். வேறு வழியின்றி, தேன்கனிக்கோட்டை சாலையில் அமைந்துள்ள தனியார் மருத்துவமனையில் பாதிப்படைந்தவர் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.
