Work on National Highway 844 is progressing rapidly, with the stretch between Mathigiri Road Junction and Sanamavu reportedly reaching around 90% completion.

According to the road-work supervisor, the railway overbridge near Jonabanda is expected to be completed within 60 days.

The completed highway infrastructure is expected to benefit motorists travelling from Hosur and Bengaluru through Athipalli towards southern and western Tamil Nadu.

The Bathalapalli flyover is also expected to help reduce traffic congestion in the area.
