As part of New Year celebrations, a special book exhibition is being organised in Hosur with the message “Celebrate the New Year with Books”. The event is conducted by the Tamil Nadu Science Forum at the Hosur Municipal Corporation Park on Thali Road and will be open to the public from 10 AM to 7 PM.

The exhibition was inaugurated by social activist YVS, with participation from residents’ welfare associations. A children’s speech competition titled “Books – The Seed of Thought” is scheduled for 5 PM, featuring noted speaker Trichy Thilagavathi. The event aims to encourage reading habits and critical thinking among children and the general public.

ஓசூரில் புத்தாண்டை புத்தகங்களோடு கொண்டாடுவோம் என்ற முழக்கத்துடன், தமிழ்நாடு அறிவியல் இயக்கம் சார்பாக, இன்று காலை 10 மணி முதல் மாலை 7 மணி வரை ஓசூர் தளி சாலையில் அமைந்துள்ள ஓசூர் மாநகராட்சி பூங்காவில் சிறப்பு புத்தக கண்காட்சி நடைபெறுகிறது.

இந்த புத்தக கண்காட்சியை சமூக செயற்பாட்டாளர் "Y V S" ரிப்பன் வெட்டி துவக்கி வைத்தார்.

ஓசூர் அனைத்து குடியிருப்போர் நல சங்கங்களின் கூட்டமைப்பு தலைவர் ஆர் நீலகண்டன் வரவேற்புரையாற்றினார்.

மேலும், மாலை 5 மணி அளவில், "புத்தகம் - சிந்தனையின் விதை" என்கிற தலைப்பில் குழந்தைகளுக்கான பேச்சுப் போட்டி நடைபெறுகிறது. இதில் பட்டிமன்ற பேச்சாளர் திருச்சி திலகவதி கலந்து கொள்கிறார்.
