A private individual has reportedly filed a case in the Madras High Court claiming ownership over land allotted for the construction of the Hosur Court Complex. Officials state that approximately 8 acres of government land worth nearly ₹30 crore in the Chennathur area had been under alleged encroachment for several years.

Following court proceedings, revenue department officials, with police protection, cleared the encroachments using heavy machinery and recovered the land for the proposed court complex.
